My 107 sumped harley fixed under warranty put a breather tube in
its ran fine after that
Thanks for your input it’s more confirming to my thoughts
it’s a shame I saw a 2020 cvo limited on a tow truck bike didn’t have 50 miles on it and broke down
the most expensive bike harley sells
go figure
bought my '17 CVO SG (twin cooled M8) with about 6500 miles on it
3500 miles later I'm glad I bought the ESP, entire upper engine needed to be replaced
I've put about 6500 miles on the replacement with no issues.
Not a great story. Not a horrifying story. Just a true story for you to use as you like.
On a side note, my guy at the Indian dealership called me up and I had a look at the new Indian Challenger. That engine is 20 years ahead of HD 'technology'.
Get the M8. I have 35000 miles on mine and only had transfer issue. The 110 lifter problems.
We had lots of lifter problems at the shop with 110's and and a few on HO 103's,so we went about doing deals on new bikes with heavier duty SE lifters for a small price. We also gave the customer a handshake warranty for another 6 months from the standard 2 years if done at PD, we never had to look at any of them under warranty though the better lifter cured it.

Mate I sold the shop and retired so I really don't know. Owning a dealership you can be completely isolated from the workshop for months if not years or then be needed to make forward going decisions to retrofit or warranty a part or keep a customer happy. Talk to your dealer they're up to speed.
