Lets say you have decided you are ready for a 2020 SG CVO, and you just need to pick a color.
I just dont like the AMF looking one at all.
I almost had myself talked into the Sand Dune beforeI realized that it reminds me of a Police Bike.
The other option for me is the Stardust Fade, but I hate the air cleaner. Maybe I could get a heavy breather from the Sand Dune color installed.
I know I could get an older model CVO SG, but I just think a 700lb bike just begs for traction control (I know I know, learn to ride blah blah blah).
My point is- these colors make it hard to decide to buy one at all.
# huge disappointment this year.
Couple of thoughts.. the bike is 866lbs in running weight not 700. Yes, highway pegs can be installed on the chopped engine guard or you can go with Ciro 3D frame mounted highway peg mounts. Lastly you can’t order a ‘19, your local dealer may be able to find a leftover from another dealer but you can’t order one from HD. Go with the one you like the most or you can wait about 8 months and see what Harley does for 2021, they change colors every year.
Good Luck

Thanks for the tip on the pegs. I had my doubts.
Do you know about the heavy breather?
My wife and I have been very unhappy with the last two year color options. If and a BIG if they offer the 131 next year with the addition of the new TC and Boom GTS and actually do a very nice color and chrome we may consider updating once again. Not holding my breath. Frankly the Standard Limited has looked better than the CVO options this year in my opinion. I know you are talking FLHX but the CVO colors in general have left a lot to be desired.
Doubt they'll put a 131 in the cvos...why would they give you something for free that they know a large percentage of people will buy? HD is all about the money. I'll be honest and I don't really like any of the 2020 cvos but this 19 is one the best paint jobs HD has done in a long time...the mako shark fade is pretty damn nice too. I'm pretty sure I lifted this picture from a member here lol...but this bike was so nice I saved this picture. Op if there's nothing jumping out at you maybe you should wait for 2021 and see what comes out then...you may regret settling. Good luck in the search
