117 kit

I got a quote from my local dealer to install the 117 kit in my 2016 CVO Roadglide. $3700 installed which included the SE tuner and Dyno time. Going to have to do some thinking.

Seems reasonable price. Harley did a bad job putting that kit together. The 259E is a good cam, I have used it in a build. Problem is that cam is designed to work at 10.75 to 11.25 compression. The Harley kit compression is 9.9 which is two low for the cam. So power will not be as much as it should be, nor will the torque. My 110 with the 259E cam and 11.0 compression made more power than the Harley 117 kit with the same cam. My current 117 build makes way more than a HD kit

Waiting won't cure the hd kit. Do you have a warranty on the bike? If not find yourself a good indy to do a real build with parts that will work together. A 3500 budget will go along way with a good builder. If youre stuck with the dealer doing it see if theyll swap out the cam for you or get the compression up. Where are you located? Maybe someone here can recommend someone close to you
