first thing change the lifters!!!
listen to Hillside. A cam change with a little more compression really wakens it up. Check the crank run-out when it is open. I want more displacement then boring out to 113" or new 117" jugs. Depends on what you want to spend.
Be careful. The 110s have weak flywheels. Mine almost made it to 50,000 miles. It has a 124 S&S now. I love it!!!
Interesting, my 16 RG CVO is in the shop now because of a fly wheel issue (36K M). Haven't looked in the past but this is the first I've heard of a weak fly wheel issue.
I took my bike to the dealership to have the red shift 587s installed horsepower was only up to 93 hp but torque numbers rose to 121 1/2.
The torque and horsepower numbers move up and down exactly the same way the stock cam did it almost makes me think that they didnt install my cans and just Dyno tuned what was already in the bike the torque numbers especially follow each other very closely.

gotta say that's one of weirdest dyno sheets ive seen. Wonder why they started the run after 2500rpm?
the crappy cranks weren't just a 110 exclusive item...the cranks from 2003 up were all suspect. Some were ok while others were complete junk...complete roll of the dice. Mine had .003 the first time i checked at about 35k. Did a real stage one and rode that way for 2 seasons then the power bug bit me. Call to hillside and scott recommended s&s 570's, some headwork, throttle body porting and good tune from my local dyno guy. First season with that set up and i hit the rev limiter passing a few cars and it caused my flywheel to shift...now i had .0045. Not horrible but enough to feel and know that it wasnt going to get better. Tear it down and found a bad rod bearing too, so time for a darkhorse man o war crank. Still running that same combo from hillside and its been reliable and lots of fun to ride. Do a mild, proven build replacing the known 110 weak points and you'll have a great motor that's fun too...now where did i put scotts number???
a 2016 CVO 110" came in from Mass. yesterday.
Client was fed up with it's inabilty to have any steam.
Boring to 113", using a T-Man .660PS-2, 58mm, our Stage II CVO Heads, Supertrapp 2/1.
Bike gonna learn how to roll.......
Scott

So you're the one pushing that gawd awful supertrapp? Sickest sounding exhaust I've heard to date and I don't mean sick in a good way. Usually used when people say, "I want quiet but not stock". Just my opinion of course but it sounds like my old lady`s sewing machine on steroids and it's performance is nothing to write home about.
Again, JMHO as sound is subjective, but me and few buddies poke fun of another buddy running that thing. Sorry.
Harley 117 Kit is okay, not great. Main reason is the 259E cam needs more compression then the Kit has. Compression should be very close to 11.0 for that cam.
Many well know builders have nice 110-117 kits for the motor that make more power or torque, and comes on in a better area of the power band.
My 2013 CVO King is a blast to ride, and very reliable. Way more power then the HD kits. Torque comes on early, where you ride and its a nice long flat curve. Its been ridden from TN to Key West, to Apostle Islands in WI, Fayetteville AR and so on.
Looks like you have a nice setup there. I also have really never been impressed with any of the Screamin Eagle kits. Seems like the performance to dollar ratio isn't in balance. For whatever reason the SE kits just don't seem to lay down big power and I speculate they're a little tame for warranty reasons or something

Its a fun easy to ride bike, plenty of power. I would say your right on H-D kits tame for EPA and warranty.
If I could do it over, used black Road Glide remove everything plastic and replace with carbon fiber, pull engine replace with S&S of choice and wheels. Still less than a CVO
