Default 2008 Road King CVO led upgrades

Hello, I have all stock lights on the bike and want to replace everything with led's and especially want to get rid of the ugly tombstone light with something more modern for the rear? also does anyone know if I will need a load equalizer on this bike? Thanks

For a 2008 if you are installing LED lights you would need a load equalizer. The new bikes use a canbus system that will adapt to the lighter load on the electrical system from LEDs. If you look at Custom Dynamics they have a lot of different options for your bike. Just make sure that you search under your particular bike and make sure the description doesn't make it CVO restricted for that part. If you order from CD it will either come with everything you need to connect it or tell what you need to add to make it work.

I have pretty much the full contingent of CD lights on my new 2020 RGS and they are super bright and were very easy to install. Good luck on your project.

UGLY? The tombstone light is CLASSIC HD! i agree it's not modern, but the GUIDE lenses have history dating back to the 40's (earlier?).

Thats what I thought...tombstone ugly??? I have the same cvo road king as yours but I have the blue/blue combo. I get lots of compliments on the tombstone taillight. I know its been awhile since the op but I have led spotlights and headlight with no load equalizer. My turn signals and brake light are still old style though

Ahhh, Ice Black. 2007 SERK just like mine. And they have a nice led that plug and play's in that "Tombstone" as well.
