Sorta related...I replaced the OEM on my '18 T/G with a 10" light tinted Freedom "Touring" Shield.
Definitely worked much better.
The only issue that I've had with it is that as it got older it seemed to be "drooping" down and the "wings" that extend to the sides rub against the top of the fairing.
I placed small sticky furniture "pads" under the shield and that helps.
On a side note I replaced the OEM mirrors and the lower chrome windshield trim with fancier mirrors and he gap between the mirrors and the windshield is very tight.
bought my bike used with 6500 miles on it, noticed it had a small crack that grew larger as time went by, i replaced it with the HD touring shield that is 10" but also a bit wider, installed it with a torque wrench, and it cracked at one of the fastening points withing a week....my dealership is great to work with and I asked my parts guy about it and no questions asked, replaced it for free....the new one already has some small cracks starting, but they have not grown
the next one is a the beefiest and strongest aftermarket option I can find....done replacing crap with crap
The wife is only 5’4 and with the short windshield the wind hit her in the top of the lid, got one that was a inch or two over stock height and she reports that she doesn’t get beat up anymore.
