New to the forum here. I picked up a low mile 07 CVO Ultra for a pretty smoking deal but it has a few things Im trying to source and keep coming up blank. Its the cherry/black ice combo and has the ironside collection boards, grips, etc..
Would love to find a set of matching cherry lowers but they seem to be unobtanium. Also would be nice to snag the ironside shift and highway pegs that matched.
Anyone sitting on some parts they would want to part with or know of a place I could continue the hunt? Appreciate the time and help!
Welcome to the forums from Ontario, Canada, as for the lowers, find some and get them painted. Even if it's off a touch, nobody will notice. Paint matches have come a long way.
Agreed man. Thats the backup plan if I dont find a set before the colder months arrive. There are a couple small places that could use some touch up as well. I bought a set of Amazon cheep lowers in vivid that actually turned out to be pretty decent quality, but the black dulls out the bike too much; pic below.
Sorta seems like the newer airflow line is the closest thing to the ironside collection Ive found if I strike out on the other items
I have similar issues with my '07 FLHRES3. CVO replacement parts are not supported by the MOCO. You can scan the wrecked bike web sites for parts, but I usually found the floor boards were always one of the item damaged in the wreck. Maybe you will get lucky.
I too though the Air Flow boards would be close enough for replacements, but I read a review that they are not constructed with the heavy cast pan/rubber mounted insert like the OEM. Rather they are stamped steel with the rubber insert directly attached. I don't know if this makes a difference to you. To get my bike back on the road (I was struck by a cager speeding down the wrong side of the road) I wound up going for the Stream Liner boards. I continue to search the 'net for a good used pair...

Not that Im happy youre struggling too, but Im glad my misery has some company and its not just me being dumb and not knowing where to look. Came across this eBay listing in my searches if it interests you. Sorta spendy, but its a complete set other than highway pegs and grips. I just cant justify the spend for the shift pegs when all my items are still in great shape. Thats good feedback about the airflow line, Ill have to put my hands on some and see. Would be cool if there was an aftermarket team that reproduced some of these classic parts, Id pay the markup for small batch NOS type stuff
Go get a spray bomb that's close and give them a paint job. Some have had a brand they've talked about that is good and close to bike colours. You will have to do a search on here. Actually they had pics and turned out pretty good. Good luck

Definitely thought about it. Theres a painter in Columbia SC that specializes in bikes and custom paint thats actually very fairly priced. Ive got a couple small spots that need some touch up so Im thinking of a end of season paint cleanup, lowers re-spray, and a correction to make her pop. Absolutely love the bike so I dont mind throwing some cosmetic cash at her
Scan eBay, just saw an 07 RK CVO Black Ice get completely parted out, there are still some items left as of today. They did have the shifters, but I don't see them now. I've had a couple of CVO custom painted, did bags on my 07 and a fairing for my 23. Big Fatys did the 07, but he retired, there's a guy in Jersey I used for my 13, I think it is Xtreme Dimensions.
