Hi all,
Just joined theCVO fam for first time 2 weeks ago.
Picked up a 23 Platinum Road glide, changed breather to Extreme, SE tuner and Khrome Werks slipons.
In know this deserves a trip to the stealer. (already called and service manager told me to come in)
But posting here just in case.
In checking bike I noticed that my P&A fuse was blown. I tried replacing and as soon as I insert new fuse. it blows ! even with bike off. If i pull 50 amp it goes in but as soon as Insert 50amp. it blows.
I am able to turn on bike and ride it and all seems to be working properly. including Infotainment though speakers do not work.. so Im thinking maybe amp?
I Mean besides saying it's a Short. Anyone has any ideas.. ?

Something you did caused a short. Look at all the wiring around all the areas you were working on.
While always good to assume what changed. What did he do electrically? With a new bike you also have warranty issues, initial problems.
I would think for a bit, did you do anything that would have slid a wire that may have later rubbed through to metal. If you did it, they will screw. I bought one new harley, there was so many electric problems. Wires rubbing through, from the factory, was one of them. Sucks dealing with a dealer and having to take time to go there, but at some point you paid for a new bike.
I sort of agree. But always good to give a quick once over. From what he told us nothing he did touched wires., like the previous poster said. The dealer will charge you if something you did that caused this. But at some point, you need to bring it in.
#3 is the Front P&A fuse at 30amps. It also the Amp fuse. So if that's the one you're talking about it could the amp is bad and blowing it which is why you have no sound.
#7 is the rear P&A fuse also at 30 amps. Owners manual doesn't say it feeds anything like #3 does.
I had changed bars and figured it could have been one of the connectors so did go back and check all connections. checked all the pins in case one got bent onto another but all are good.. not to mention all buttons work ,. I would assume that if it was a short with connectors under Bars one of the buttons (the culprit) would not work.. BUT .. i did go for a quick ride and did noticed that the Audio was not working.. So I believe Dave hit it on the head.. Taking to dealer to have it serviced.
Thanks all for the inputs !!

Good luck. Hopefully the dealer figures it out quick. My guess is the Amp or something else on that circuit.
Check the battery tender plug-in wire to see if rubbed on something and is grounding out.. It runs behind the fuse box into a harness and is in that P&A circuit.
