i just bought a 08 flhrse4 road king screaming eagle i have 1400 miles on it andi love the 110 the only thing i changed on it were the pipes i put rinehart on it sounds and runs great
07 SE Roadking Love the power! No problems other than a ahole[:@] ran us off the road in Keystone last year during Sturgis ralley! But Wife and I are still here and all healed up readyto ride with all the Bro's! Bike is done and ready to go!!
07 SE Ultra, oil leak happened on the way to the stealer for its 5k service. It already had the K&N filter, V&H dual head pipes& 2" Rush slip-ons, with SERT tuned using Twin Scan II. While it was apart for base and head gaskets, I had themput in Woods TW-7H cams, the new SE tapered push rods, and SE 50mm Throttle body. Again tuned with SERT using TS II. No dyno, but it pulls really strong, much better than before. I'm going to run the SERT data mode just to check what it says for dyno numbers, may not be exact, but I'll have a ballpark idea. This Harley will remain with me for a LONG time.
Tell me if this is just a coincidence or something that makes sense. I have noticed that most of the people who are having issues with their 110's have either the Dyna or Touring chassis and theseengines are not balanced like the softail models. So what I'm saying is that maybe the problems lie with the vibrations producedby thecombination ofbig cubes andthe unbalancedengine/drivetrain are the real culprits. I know that my 110Bidles and runs smooth assilk andI ride with guys and girls that havebone stock Dynas and Touring bikes and attraffic lights and idle these engines/drivetrainsshake and vibrate so bad that it amazes me they don't shake themselves apart so I can only imagine how much more the bigger cubic engines shake and vibrate. Just a thought.
have an 08 serdk 4 bought new in in Aug of 07 1st one in the area. So far no problems. Added Vance and Hynes tru duals SERTK rush 3 1\2" slip ons with 2 3\4 race tunes baffels, HD heavy breather kit. It has an awsome sounding snap to the exhaust, (in every gear) bike runs much cooler than stock and is the fastest thing I have ever ridden considering it's weight. Dynoed at
98 hp People bitch about having to spend extra bucks to modify a $30.000 bike and I somewhat agree but if thats what it takes than so be it. I would rather spend xtra money to make sure that there is less of a chance that problems will arise in the future.
I treat it as one of the family and so far it is the best $$ Iv'e ever spent.
Well SmokeEm, I closed the deal today, your note and the follow ups reassured me that I was making the right deal. I purchased the 105th Anniversary Crystal Copper & Black Onyx Road King, having D & D Slip-Ons, SERT, & SE High Flow installed this afternoon, will pick up that baby noon tomorrow. Guess I'll probably be like a kid on Christmas, won't sleep a wink tonight. Ha!
Picked up that puppy yesterday and all I can say is WOW (almost 300 miles). This bike has a great ride, shifts so much better than the ole phatboy, what did they do different? The bike handles twistes absolutely unreal for a bike this size, the phatboy (guys don't get me wrong, loved that bike) seemed to oversteer. Maybe it was just me! I can honestly say that the workmanship on this bike is absolute perfection. I will say that I'm still out on the seat, felt like it pushed me way to much forward and I lost any kind of comfort zone after the first 100 miles. Hopefully Mustang makes a matching seat because I can assure you that my wife won't sit this one. The low cut windshield looks great but for long trips, I'm not sure. And WHO come up with the design of having to unscrew/screw and oil dipstick, you've got to be kidding. The D & D slipons I added sound great, not to loud but a nice deep rumble, turn it loose and they'll hear you coming. All in all love this bike, they do give you (give you, ha) a nice cover, bag liners, and a really descent tool pouch and some handy tools. Purchased the extended waranty due to all the hup ha over the oil leak but I did discuss with the hand that works on my bikes and I feal great about the purchase (the problem is fixable if in fact it every happens). I'm lookin for many years of riding pleasure from this scoot.
Man, did anyone besides me see the backyard on the post above from sfarson. Is that scoot beautiful in that sitting are not!
Sonic I have a 07 se dyana same pipe, sert My bike was dyno tuned on a 80 degree day here in seattle last week
and I have 94.4 hp and 117 ft lbs torqe. No issues 4000 miles RUNS AWESOME!
