Default got the recall today

I received the factory recall to replace the head gasket, center crankcase bolt and ACR valve on my 2007 FXSTSSE. I knew it was coming just didn’t know when. I sure hope it all goes well. I have a little over 5000 miles on it now and let me tell you it just gets stronger each time I take it out. I did the stage one with the SERT and dyno at 480 mile. I took it out tonight for a 65 mile ride by myself. I cruised at 105 for most of the ride and jumped over 120 in several nice riding spots. I’m just concerned “if it’s not broke don’t fix it”. I’ve ask a few good mechanics what they thought and I guess I’ll have it done. Just hope they don’t fix one thing and add two problems.

Not a "recall", but an "upgrade".

You dont have to rush, you have two full years to get the upgrade done.
a lot could change in that time. The upgrade wont make your bike run any better, mine is fine so far, im going to run it another year or so and then get the work scheduled.

I was told by the local dealer not to worry about it and wait until winter if not next winter

Yeah, received the letter a week or two ago. Zero issues with the '07 FLHRSE3 here. Perhaps will have it done at an upcoming scheduled service interval, maybe over the winter.
