Tire Questions
I have a friend with a '07 SE Road King. He is wanting to replace his tires, but his is having trouble finding an 18" for the front. With Dunlop's recent alleged problems, he is desiring to go with something other than Dunlop. He is looking at what Michelin has to offer. His question is, "What problems are associated with putting a 120 on the front instead of the OEM 130?"
Realizing that some people base their opinions of tires on the mileage they get out of them and depending upon riding tendencies, greater mileage can equate to a harder compound in the makeup of the tire, which is not necessarily a good thing in all cases.
I would appreciate any personal experiences/opinions, both good and bad, others can share about the tires you are running and any information you can share about finding an 18" front tire.
I went then to Dunlop and fitted the biggest I could but on the front of a 73 Superglide. At that time I figured the Brits knew something about wet riding.
Who knows now.
Point is though I like as much rubber as I can get on the tires for sure including the front. 70% of the braking is the front. Has something to do with steering also. Styling will get you to the Hospital.
