Default CVO suspension

Just wondering what make the 2012 CVO RG ride so stiff. Is it the lowered suspension? The type of springs in the front and shocks in the rear? I have read about changing the front springs and the rear shocks, just wondering what is the cause and the "best" fix..

I sold a couple year old road glide for a 07 road king. traded that in for a 12 CVORG and the ride is "hard". I had a fat boy that was lowered and this bike feels much stiffer / harder when you hit bumps..

Have you tried adjusting the preload in the rear?

CVO Roadglide rear is air, just adjust it.

The 2012 road glide CVO is not air, you adjust the settings with a dial.

There is no air adjust in the rear for a 2012 CVR RG. The shock on the left side of the bike is adjustable. I went as soft as it could go still crappy. The old air system from the past give it a better ride. I will have to look into the Olins..

I thought I needed to go "soft" (lefty loosy) because the ride was tough, but I ended up reading in the manual where I should be for my weight/passenger, etc and now run with it about 2 lines from all the way tight (right turns), 19 clicks or so...I love the ride now. It's worth a shot...
