Can anyone tell me what the average lifespan is on a clutch. I have a SERG2 and lately I have, what sounds like, chatter coming from my clutch. I'm half deaf from years in the miltary but best I can tell it's clutch related. When I pull in on the clutch the chatter stops. Is this normal for these bikes when they get a few miles on them. Mine currently sits at about 34,000 miles and never has had anything done to it besides fluid changes.

 

have you tried adjusting the tension on the primary chain? I believe it has a manual tension adjuster.....I have a 2000 cvo roadglide, has 75,000 miles on it and has towed a trailer most of those miles..replaced the shoes and plates for the first time not long ago...clutch was not bad at all but went ahead and changed them anyway seeing primary cover was already off
