Default Ultra or

I have a CVO Ultra on order and basically bought it sight unseen. This past weekend I travelled to Minneapolis for the International Motorcycle Show and they had a CVO Ultra in Tribal Orange on the floor. I sat on it and immediately noticed 2 things:

1. the CVO sits a lot higher than the regular Ultra or Ultra Limited and

2. that the position of the rear passenger floor boards were catching me right in the back of the calves on my leg.

My question to those of you that have a CVO FLHTCUSE is: "Can that rear floorboard be adjusted back any?

My smarter half also saw the Anniversary Edition color and fell in love with it. Problem is I have the Typhoon Maroon on order and its looking pretty tight to find the limited number of Anniversary colored Ultras around. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a 2013 Typhoon Maroon.

The Hammock seat is what sits your up a bit and also farther back on the bike.
This also makes the handlebars more difficult to reach (i.e, not comfortable)!

I took one 450 mile trip on my bike and my upper back, neck and shoulders were killing me.
I have mine in the shop now getting a pair of WO578's to solve this issue.

Yes. the passenger floorboards are adjustable so you need to "play" with those to find the best positioning for you (and perhaps your rider).

Overall, I'm happy with mine but I've only rode it about 1600 miles so far.

My first serious updates; Rinehart XT True Duals with 4" mufflers, a SERT, and a dynotune. It really reduces the engine heat, makes it run better, and I think it will actually extend the life of the engine.

Good luck with yours and let us know how you're doing with it.

Yep, 2AMGUY called them both out for you.

Also, a lot of the CVO Ultra guys have switched the left side, right side rear floorboards brackets around to help w/ the nasty floorboards hitting the calves while on push back duty.

Good Luck and Enjoy your new scoot!

Default 2am & YellowB

Thanks to both of you for jumpin right in and replying. From what I gather the Screamin E section is quite limited in numbers and more of a fraternity rather than just an open forum. That's good. Feedback is important. Ride safe 2amGuy and Yellowbird.

2am - if you have some pics of your Typhoon scoot with the Rineharts, it would be much appreciated.

I had the same trouble with the rear passenger boards. I ended up switching the brackets to the opposite sides. Makes a big difference, more so than leaving them and just making adjustments.

Whatever you decide get the color combination you truly want and will be happy with in the long run!
All 4 CUSE8 colors are very nice and your dealer can always do a search and/or dealer swap if you ask them to, HDNet allows them to search every dealers inventory for any bike a customer is after.
