After many years of buying Harley's and adding, and adding I finally decided to buy a se ultra. Well, today I got a silver/slate se ultra 2013 , trading in my 2009 ultra classic. Since I live in cloudy, cold ohio I won't be able to ride it for probably another two weeks or so until the salt gets washed away from the roads surface. My question is...what's the first add I should do, or just leave it stock.
I would definately get the cat off, V&H xpipe is my choice and a SE tunner and a good tune, Mine stock with cat was 85 HP 100 TQ, xpipe and tune, stock SE mufflers 96 HP 108 TQ Enjoy it, I am loving mine so far, 2100 miles and climbing every day. Be safe.
Here's my 2 cents.....some of what I did with the last CVO Street Glide I had and what I am doing with the new Ultra I picked up on Saturday.
Expensive - Replace exhaust system (going to a D&D 2-1 system with ghost pipe) and race tuner (on order and waiting for arrival). Dyno and tune. LED head and passing lights (Done).
Not so expensive - Bright *** Taillight. To me this is a must have. (Done) Mini-Beast air horn to replace anemic HD horn. (On order and waiting arrival). Replace windshield with KlockWerks 11.5. (Done).
Cheap - Replace the tour pack hinges with Chrome ones...the factory ones look like crap (need to get these from dealer). Harley Goodies floorboard width extenders. (On order and shipped, waiting on arrival).
Outside of the above...not planning on doing anything more. Thought about replacing the speakers with J&M's but really need a juiced amp to leverage those and I don't know that I am going that far...the factory Boom system isn't all that bad.
