Default dyno #'s

Just did a stage 1 on my 2013 cvo road king and am not happy with the results. Went with power duals, high output 4 1/2's from Vance and Hines, and a SERT. It seems I lost some torque after spending $2,500. Would someone please look at my dyno sheet and let me know if I'm being unreasonable. These are my #'s can't seem to get sheet to post. Max hp 91.31, max torque 104.64Thanks for any help

Those are not bad numbers considering what the stock numbers are. The weather plays a role in those numbers as well, hot warmer humid day and you loose HP and TQ. I put mine on a dyno before and after I installed a V&H Xpipe only, stock mufflers, SERT and a cool 40 deg day with dry air.

stock 85 hp, 100 tq, xpipe and tune, 96 hp, 108 tq. I never had much luck with true duals, I found I lost torque. the thing with the xpipe is you need some scavenging and back pressure. I am making 100 pounds of torque at 2000 RPM and holding it past 4500, peak around 3500. I cant get my sheet to load on but I will try again later. Also big baffles are not the best option, my 103 stage 4 was a dog till I put 1 3/4 inch baffles in my pipes, along with an xpipe that thing put out sopme crazy numbers, 114 tq and 110 hp, 259E cam, 58 mm throttle, high flow injectors, 10.8-1 pistons, crazy head work by R&R. But the pipes and mufflers made a huge diference in performance. Good luck, for what your getting I would not feel bad. Be safe.

Yep, I agree with 13CVO.

Not bad numbers, but the X-Pipe would make more numbers in both HP & TQ for you.

To be honest, If your scoot runs good, doesn't cook your right leg, and your seat of the pants dyno is good, I wouldn't worry too much about what the paper says.

However, I understand your pain of dumping all that money and coming up short on the numbers.

Although, switching to a X-Pipe (of choice) and a TTS Mastertuner will make a big difference!

Good Luck and Enjoy your new sled,

YB

I am running the power duals which I think is an xpipe. The dealer has offered to retune it, do you think they could get it any better with what I'm running now. Also the torque loss seemed noticeable on the ride home after having the work done.

Thanks for the reply just thought it would be different. If I would have known there would be so little gain with the head pipe I would have just put on slippons and let it be.

The power duals are not an Xpipe you lost your low end torque by installing true dual exhaust. You need both pipes to merge together in an X pattern then split back off to two pipes. 1 3/4 baffle is ideal to get big torque.

Ask your dealer about the Vance and Hines Xpipe. The pic of my bike shows my Xpipe.

Good luck. Let me know how you make out.

Def an x pipe. Well you have the right pipe. A good tune should get good results. Don't know why your dealer called them power duals. But you have the right stuff. Tuning is a science. I would give them another shot. Also try your stock mufflers. They sound good with that pipe.

I didn't even think about giving the stock mufflers another chance. Just hate to have $650 high outputs sitting in my garage.

It would tell you lots. I am running stock mufflers. Just thought it was worth a shot.
