Default Lost throttle while riding?!?!?!?!

I was out riding with my crew today and now for the 2nd time I lost throttle while I was riding. We had just went through a stop sign and I began to throttle up and it was dead, nothing. Bike was still running, no acceleration.
The first time this happened, about 8 months ago, I was able to get it to the dealer I bought it from and 4 days later was told it was a loose wire on the fuel injection system and it was throwing codes for the bike to go into protect mode. Didn't do it again till today. We disconnected the battery for a minute and let the system reset itself, rode 40 miles back home without an issue. My bike is an '08 CVO Ultra with 18K. Any ideas?

Check the connection on the throttle body( where a carb should be) behind the a/c. Pull apart the connection and blow it out, put some dialectric on it and plug it back in good and firm. My FLHR did the same thing at the 1500 mile mark and hasn't done it since then....

Could be your TPS, but want to ask if you have another "piggy-back" tuner on the bike? Sometimes your tuner can be faulty and this can cause codes/shut-down as well...

Hammerhead, sounds like a great idea for me to look at. Really makes sense being all the debris that accumulates back there like it does.

Iceman 24, I do not have a tuner of any sorts on the scoot that I am aware of. Its all stock to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for the heads up for all replys.

Die grease on every connector you can find, even those you can not find will save you a lot of issues down the road. If you ever take an electrical connector apart apply die grease before putting it back together. Throttle body connector behind air cleaner has been an issue with lots of bikes.
