I don't know a lot about the small teething problems the 110 motor had at the begining but was wondering if the problems have been fixed.looking to buy the Cvo break out and it's my first Cvo so I'm searching around to get opinions and see if there are any problems I need to be aware of.
I've got 22,000 on my 2012 CVO Ultra and my friend has just turned over 30,000 on his 2011 CVO Ultra. Neither of us have had any issues. There both running strong.

I really wanted one just for yucks but I figured another $10k on top of my Dyna didn't do justice for 7ci. Happy with my 103. Congrats ahead of time too!
I didn't think 7ci between my 103 RK and the CVO RK 110 was a big deal, but I can tell. I'm glad to see 110's with some miles on them in the previous posts. It makes me feel even better about my decision =)
Early 110 ('07-08) had oil leak issues at the base gaskets that were resolved with a service campaign.
Other things to be mindfull of, which effect other touring bikes
- OEM lifters are know to fail, often around 20K miles. Early/preventative replacement with say S&S lifters will avoid any costly damage
- Poor quality cam bearings have been know to fail
- Compensator. Replace with SE version. I believe all Touring bikes got the SE Compensator starting in 2011.
otherwise I think these have been relatively trouble free for many people. The SE 255 cam is a good low torq cam, but falls off over 4K RPMs. Many great replacements out there that will carry the torq throughout RPM range. Good time to replace cam when doing cam bearings and lifters.
Also, adding some compression really wakens up these motors. Light head work and shaving/decking to get 10:1 CR will waken these up with the right cam (S&S 570 with 10:1 CR is a good combination)
