Has anyone had problems with the rear shocks on there 110? I have my 4rd pair on order. I noticed that crome cover that goes over the top shock bolt was grinding into the ear of the shock. There has to be a clearance on both sides of the crome cover. I was told at the dealership that it was air wrenched on at the factory. I wondered if this is a isolated case or if there are more out there. Oh the reason for the 4th pair 2nd pair had bad crome, and the third pair have a squeek. I know a squeek,but if you pay$30,000 for something, you want the darn thing right.

 

first off id like to say sweet bike..i was at my local dealer the other day and was checking one out..the price tag on it was 24,500. when you say 30,000 are you refering to all the other hidden cost or was that the sticker price? ok now back to the original topic. as i was checking this bike out i sat on it and the rear shocks were sqeaking really bad..i bounced up and down on it and the salesman said"hey no sqeaking the bikes" unless you bought it in south jersey from my local dealer then i dont think this is an isolated problem..hope that helps..

 

It seems that the $800 shocks HD puts on the CVO built the squeek into the price. Im glad that the Dealer is Trying to make it right!!

New set is on and still sqeaks tired of pissin with it cant here it unless the bikes off anyway

I had my new '07 FXDSE in the local dealer for pipes, a SERT and a dyno and YES, there is a definitive issue with the shocks and the "squeek" that the motor company has identified, but not yet posted a bulletin to the dealers.

My parts (left shock) is now on back order and a month or so away fro delivery.

 

yes, i agree $30,000 bike should not have sqeeking shocks.my shocks do the same thing. maybe i should bring back for inspection!!

 

No brainer my friend - unless you want to put up w/ the squeeks - get your scoot back to the dealer and get on the back-order list for the new shocks. Again, this is a known issue and you should have no warranty related issues.
