Default fuze?

On the positive side of my battery there is the main battery cable to the solenoid, another wire to the relay and a third item that is about 1.5 inches long by .5 inches square with a flat tongue comeing directly out of it that attaches to the battery and then a single wire going into the harness. There are no markings on it at all. Its a sealed unit made of black plastic. Its difficult to fit it in on top of the battery or even to the side to accommodate the battery box and cover. What is it, and can it be moved? sorry I don't have a picture of it unless I tear everything back off again.

Do a google search for fuse holder and click on image, then see if one looks like yours.

Fuse connection that goes between the + side of the battery and the battery side on your ignition switch?

Dead on Panz. That's what it was. Although heavily wrapped in black tape, which I unraveled to find a 50 amp terminal fuze with a brass tongue attatched to it. Looks like someone got creative but works none the less. Although isn't 50 amp a little high for that application from + to battery sided of the ign. switch?

I would use a 30 amp breaker in place of that 50. With a 50 in there you may fry wires before you trip the breaker.

The factory used to mount the main breakers onto a flat brass tab that was mounted directly to the battery post.

Definitely drop it down to a 30 amp fuse. Glad you got it figured out
