I helped a Buddy install bars on a 68 , a real bitch . The bars have no tab . There was a bolt through bar into the shock . Tough job with fender mounted . I had a 75 Glide and an 84 Wide Glide both of mine had spacers .

I have seen that mounting set-up...can't remember if it was O.E. tho. I can't remember what was on my '68... been too long gone!

My 65 and 67 also mount like that.
