Weak frame? When I got my 75 it had 53k on the clock, it doesn't look like the bottom end has ever been out of the frame, this bike was rode hard and put up wet (very oily) and sat in a shed for 17 years, just recently got her running and did not change anything but the clutch and brake pads. The old SU is still working and I ride this wonderfully beat up bike every chance I get. In fact my 08 dyna is up for sale.
I Love the sound of a shovelhead!

Hey Bruce, I've been having so much fun ridin that I haven't done anymore work on her. When winter sets in I'm going to do the front fork springs, tranny leak and the sprockets for highway riding. Did I tell you I got a trophy? Couldn't believe it! Was just goofin off and wanted to show off my scoot, really was looking for the rat bike category but they said they only had the antique category and looks like more people gravitated towards my old 75. For the 75 FLH. 2016 Still can't believe it. Yet there it is.

Ohhh, no, no and no, that's for the 06 truck.
I've been running the Kendall straight fifty and she runs great, tried to find 60w but up here in Washington state the 50w should be okay.
Doesn't burn any oil but it sure has a lot of small insignificant leaks!

You'll find that old shovel is like a good looking gal with huge ****, everybody wants a look.

Want to have fun watch people when you use the kicker, some never seen it done.

So sorry for the circumstances under which you're acquiring this bike, but ride and enjoy in his honor.

1968 HD came out with a gusset to be welded on the 68 and earlier frames to reinforce the frame at that point. The gusset was welded on the front of the leg. 1969 the frames came standard with the gusset welded to the frame.

When some one plays the AMF card, just tell them AMF and the shovelhead motor kept an American Legend a float.
