So....I am going to put the stator cover (rotor) on and then the inner primary.
But a question first. In the bag of bits from when I took the rotor off, I have the magnetic rotor itself, the old o-ring rubber gasket that goes on the crankcase and a thinnish (0.060") large diameter thrust washer.
I have a new gasket, but does the thrust washer go between the stator and the rotor or does it go on the outside on the rotor before the compensating sprocket?
I think the answer is between the rotor and the stator - that is the most logical answer as I took the comp sprocket assembly off separately and bagged it up separately - so if the washer was on the outside of the rotor, it should be in that bag - but thought it was worth a check.
It doesn't appear show up in the parts book or get mentioned in the manual though...
its in the parts pictures - normally we look at the mating surfaces you should see it goes between the sprocket shaft spacer and the rotor to space the rotor out just a bit

Thanks John - that's what I thought. And what I did.
