So I dropped a new proper filter in, and lowered the oil level to see if I could just get a better look at things.
It is still backing up at the top of the oil tank. What it really looks like is the oil coming in from the return line is too aerated or coming in too fast for the filter assembly to handle. When i pour oil in by hand slowly it drains through the filter just fine, but from the return line it just piles up faster than it can get through and then pressurizes around the oil cap and return hose fitting.
Theres a vent hose near the oil pump, factory ran those to the breather? Most people run them under the bike? Some put a filter on them? Those cute little filters clog and blow the dipstick out.https://www.knfilters.com/search/pro...qzCh2C9AtSEAQY
