Curious what dollar amount would be a resonable figure if went through a local Indy shop. Have inquired from couple and was quoted from low 3500 to 6000 plus. And I'm looking at total rebuild split cases and all. Thanks. Wild Bill. Sparks Nv. Ps bike runs great now and posably doing my self. Lookin to retire here soon might be great project

While they aren't hard to work on there will be work that needs sending out and your still looking at $3k for a reasonable total R&R from reputable sources for parts & machine work with you doing the labor. Average is about $4500 anymore if they do it all.
Finding a shop that actually has a real clue about shovels is getting tougher.

Hillside Cycles can do that all day long. They are in NY and are a sponsor here. Max cost will be $4,000. That is for a total, split the cases, rebuild from the ground up. Just yank your motor and put it in a box. It will be home in about 3 months. They just did my EVO after a catastrophic failure and I couldn't be happier with it. When the day comes, I'm going to ship them my shovel too. I talked to Scott about the shovel job and he said no problem, they've done lots of them. Give them a call.
support stickers on machines in some parts of the country are very dangerous to wear
maybe its different by you but today caution when you ride off into the sunset for other parts - unless your a member you have no idea what's going on --- just a friendly heads up

It's very different out here verse back where you are, OP's area is solid 81 country.
If it's as good as you say, why go down to the wheels?
Have small oil leak on rt side behind stator, have been in it several times first replaced crank seals still leak then went to clamp holding stator plug in found one was tapped thru to inside lower case sealed that but wasn't it so have sneaking suspicion small crack or spot in case still leaking behind stator so Just might have looked at with stator off
