Are any of you guys running a Baker 6 to 4 trans on your Shovel? I have the opportunity to buy one for my shovel and I wanted to see if you are happy with the upgrade?

Should work well for you. I dont have first hand experience with the 6 speed but I hear if it's a stock Shovelhead it will have a tough time pulling 6th.

I do Not believe they are all Overdrive... if ya get one that is Not, the smaller motor can certainly benefit..
and even if Overdrive... change sprockets, and have even more fun...

You may want to look at the installation instructions on Bakers websight .There are a few modifications you may or may not want to do. Also .because the transmission sticks out a couple inches farther on the right side., Your exhaust selection is quite limited. I have had one in a 106 inch stroker for at least 5 years.with a ProClutch, the best primary chain I could find, cal custom inner primary. and a solid steel transmission plate. I beat it pretty good and it has held up. The only bitch I have is that with the exhaust I have ,I couldn't use the Baker kick arm.

I will second Baker quality. That's an expensive way to get overdrive. Overdrive robs horsepower vs a 1 to 1 final drive.
