Pretty sure this came off an Fxe as it was in the handlebar type mount bracket along with the tach. Has a 16 mm thread for the speedo cable. Made by Vegila in Italy
Tried to edit my post but was unable to, was going to add does anyone know what model and year this fits? Thinking an early Fx or Fxe. Thanks Jerry
I have the Handlebar set like that... came on a Sportster...what does the Tach look like???
Sportster were cable driven...Shovel would be Electric tach
Edit for Bad info... best guess pre 1974 and post 1968...
BTW... certainly could be for FX...as the Housing is the Same..I do Not know how to telll by the Gauge alone what it came off from...
Somebody does... But it aint me...
Here's a picture of the tach. It is electronic, not cable driven. The picture I posted earlier was the speedometer that came with the gauge set and handlebar mount that I found on E bay. I bought a aftermarket speedometer because the speedometer cable on my bike was American thread (5/8) and a parts dealer told me that the Superglides used American thread on the speedos. The new aftermarket speedometer does have American thread. The original speedometer in the first picture had been in the mounting bracket for a long time as the cushion was cracked and stuck pretty hard. Who knows though, a lot can be changed around in 40 plus years
^^ Yup... looks to be a typical early '70's Cluster
I sort of remember the Nut on the cables being different sizes... But would really need to dig to Ascertain the when ... etc... Again, the Veglia could in fact be Sportster from my Feeble memory... But matters not... if the nut goes On... yer good to go!!!!! They were basically identical and mix and match functionally...
Edit; Went and checked... thinking I had one... But, alas, mine is an AC 150 MPH Speedo!!!
But, again as long as you use the correct cable/nut... They all work untill the later 2260 ratio, or Fat Bob speedo, and of course tranny Driven!!!
Speedo in your first pic was definitely used 1975-1978 (unsure before or after); the tach in Post #4 was definitely used in 1975 (again unsure before or after). Can't help with the speedo in post #4

The Veglia??
Was the Veglia before or After the AC...??? I guess I thought Before.
