1Fordman.
Would you be interested in selling your NOS sending unit? I would be interested in purchasing. I've got an 83 FLHT that I have the temp accessory on, but my sending unit is bad. If not, is there any indication on the one you have that could tell me who the original manufacture of the sending unit is? I am assuming it is Stewart Warner, but I cannot find enough information on the sending unit itself to correctly locate one.
Thanks.
Thank you sir! I work hard at it. She is a great bike. Currently has 92,000 on the speedo. I bought it with 62,000 miles from the second owner who purchase it at 20,000, so it's been well cared for. It was fully restored at around 50,000 and has been an extremely reliable bike.
Yes PM me please and we can discuss.
thanks
Jason, I'm willing to sell the ring terminal sender but the one 1Fordman has is the one you need.
1Fordman, Stewart Warner said they don't think the ring terminal type sender doesn't work with the gauge I have so for the time being I'm going to mount it as a non-working gauge. Thanks again.
1Fordman. I am trying to get in contact with you on this sending unit. I am apparently not able to do PM on this forum and cannot contact anyone to see what it takes to get set up, but I don't have rights at this point.
Can you message me on Facebook messanger? My name is Jason Yancy in Sheboygan, WI. There is a picture of me on my bike. Let me know if that or what can work for you.
Thanks!
Jason
I believe you have to have a certain number of posts before you can send PM's, and perhaps also a certain amount of time on the forum. I don't do Facebook, so may not be able to access messenger.
If you're still interested in the sending unit, send a PM through the forum. You most likely have posting rights by now (5) and the time period on here should be good.
Hey guys, I'm also wondering about how to install this temp gauge (part # 75002-77) onto my 1977 Ironhead. There is a lot of information in this thread but I have yet to find a straightforward answer. If I overlooked one please let me know! Thank you.

Caveman,
Scroll up to Jason Yancy's photo of the sending unit mounted to the rear cylinder. His bike is most likely an 80 inch shovelhead. The sending unit would mount in a similar manner to your ironhead. Does your sending unit look like that one, or is it the ring terminal type?
