Hello everyone hope all are well with this COVID-19, I have a question i need help with, i am rebuilding a 4 speed ratchet top for a 1972 FLH Electra Glide. I need to replace the Main Drive Gear (Current one is a cheap aftermarket going with an Andrews.) my question is can i use a drive gear from a 1978 eclectra glide OEM Part# 35067-77A, 35067-84 or do i need to MDG OEM Part# 35065-65B from 1936 to early 1977 ? The reason i am asking is i can get an Andrews 1978 MDG for half the price then an aftermarket 1936 to early 1977 MDG. Also I am using loose roller bearings any advice is greatly appreciated.

the later hi gear does not interchange with the early more then one reason - the gear its self is different visually on the bearing side because its not loose roller - its a cage bearing and the spud is a different size as well
