Default Throwout bearing fork

changing out throwout bearing on a 78 fx, the fork needs replaced, anybody know if the fork is a press fit on the shaft? if so how do you get it apart?

Basically pops right off... But, It is Not a Wear Item... the Bearing is... note tho, they can be broken... seen a few... some I believe were misadjusted such that the Fork contacted the MainShaft!!!! Look this over carefully so you understand the Why, of Clutch Adjustment... it will pay Dividends!!!
Edit; BTW any minute now someone is going to bring up the Superiority of the Old Style "bell" throwout
True for O.E. Throwouts... but, having seen the insides of a Chiwanese Bell type Throwout... I am Decidedly Not Gonna!!!!
Note How long the OE wafer really does Last... IF adjusted Properly..

my bearing went out and chewed up the fork. the last time i replaced the bearing was probabley 15 years ago. but i never had to replace the fork wasnt sure if it was a press fit or if there was a retainer on the end of the shaft

there's a clip at the end of the shaft, then the whole thing comes apart easily. Don't lose the washer either
