I want to put a VOES on my Optima electronic ignition. I get pinging at low rpm in 4th, but only over 1/4 throttle. There are many variations of them over the years, so does anyone know the 'right' one to use on a stockish 80" shovelhead in an FX? Thanks, Joe

Never used one on a Shovelhead... But, Since they are an Adjustable device, I suspect someone who has used one can detail what "number" they kicked in at, to be Useful.
Research shows that H-D 26557-83 is probably what you want.,.. Shovelhead and Ironhead..

They are adjustable...just have silicone over the adjustment screw...

your FX would be 4 to 4.5 inches of vacuum - they really do the jiob as evo engines proved it 1984 to 1999 every one including sportys
