I'm not worried about the relays. 40 amp resistive, 30 amp inductive. For the most part Amazon doesn't sell junk and what isn't made in China anymore? BTW the supplier of these relays gives a phone # with a 10 hour response time for problems.
I have bought other parts w/o problems.
Before retirement my business was with controls, both electro-mechanical and digital (hvac). China is the source for a lot of controls and they are looking for even cheaper labor. I would like to buy USA for everything but Globalization has manufactures by the short hairs. I have little confidence that suppliers of most of our MC parts are the US. It's rare enough that JP tags USA parts in their catalog.
Unfortunately there is no good way to tell if a relay is quality by looking at it. If the relay fails I will eat crow and tell you about it.
Well, for one thing, Bosch relays aren`t made in China...
I know one way to tell if a relay is good, look on it to see where it is made, if it says China it is most likely junk, if it says Bosch, Tyco, Hella, or TE on it, you have a quality part.
Sorry to disagree, but 10 bucks for 10 relays=cheap chinese junk.

^^ I am Firmly in Dan's corner on this... Not by "marketing" nor "Budget", ... but by "Experience"
But, I do Not use folks like J&P.... Ever... I have an Indy... Indispensable!!!
I found a circuit breaker and turn signal and 4 way flashers at NAPA and it is all working well so far. They aren't the cheapest but readily available.
My poor broke days I’d hit a junk yard and yank couple of the Bosch relays from ero imports. As been said several times the $10 for 10 deal isn’t, they let smoke out pretty quick.
Your going to do it so be sure it’s mounted somewhere easily got to quick and carry an extra, you aren’t breaking any new ground with this idea.
Saying relay is poor quality because of where it's made isn't logical. You don't have any history of it failing.
Another question is how much does your expensive relay actually cost to produce. Because of our marketing model in our country every tier gets their end.
I really wasn't addressing the difference in quality because I haven't used either long enough to make a determination. I was just saying that to get my bike going I was able to get some simple electrical parts that are doing the job and all I had to do was walk into the store and purchase them. I can't walk into the local HD dealer and buy parts for my '79 so I am doing whatever is necessary.
I probably won't be packing any spare flashers and turn signal circuit breaker, I have a left hand for a backup.
