I visited the York assembly plant two times, once when I was a teenager (1973, it just opened), and with my kids many years later (1998 or so). The coolest thing both times was when the bikes rolled off the assembly line they pushed them onto rollers, hooked up a natural gas hose to the carb, and some lucky employee got to run the bike thru the gears. It sounded great and was fun to watch them balance the bike on the rollers. They told us on the later visit they would be discontinuing it.
