Engine case porosity.
Early 1977 engine right hand case, just below the rear engine mount, there are several sand holes that combined, leak about a drop a day.
About a100 years ago, when I was working at a dealership, the answer was to Glyptal the interior and put 3-4 coats of paint on the exterior.
Is this still the best solution or are there any newfangled, whiz bang ways of sealing these imperfections?

Glyptol is the cheaper idea then welding - but after we weld them we then glyptol the inside any way
but vapor blasting it an add to the idea as if its loaded internally with oil then nothing is going to get all of it
i also have a sonic cleaner tank big enough to use and i use simple green before and after what ever he fix was
today only knuckle and pan or flat head types engine blocks are worth that effort
