Does anybody have a bulb part number I can use to get new dashboard bulbs at an auto parts store -- auto zone had one close but was loose in the socket and no returns on electric--pretty sure the bulbs in it are the originals--79 Flh
thanks Ken --I've got a parts book --was hoping for a bulb number I could use at NAPA they don't have much patience for a small sale and most of the bulbs are pre packaged --I'll get it done thanks again
Not a real answer here,
But I'm gonna give it to ya anyhow,
79 FLH
Bulb's that where in my dash where all different,
Globe's where different sizes,
Some big & some small,
Base & socket's was all the same,
All 12 v
Only thing I was interested in was the neutral light but that's me,
Hi beam I know where the switch is at on or off,
Oil dummy light is deleted ,
I have a analog gauge on the engine that I can read,
Bottom line is,
Small globes or big globes on the bulbs,
12 v is 12v
I ain't got a part number,
thanks billy -- I know what you mean -- 40 years ago it wouldn't have bothered me but I've got time for the little stuff now --I just had some old bulbs in a box all12v but bases were different sizes -- I'll get it thanks for the reply
thanks for the list kinda what I was looking for--I'll add it to my notes--the bike was a 1 owner and it's got the usual leak and carb problem but it's all there and untouched --I've also got the light rail for the bags--it'll get there--no more clock to punch
That's a beauty Rustrat!
Yeah, it seems I take a ride, then always something to wrench on or fix. I ride the Shovel during the summer, and the M8 in the winter. There is a lot of things I like better with the Shovel, it has a real friction zone for the clutch, the trans shifts like butter, and no problem finding neutral, no clunk. The wiring can be traced, and pretty simple, etc.
Here are some bulbs, numbers, applications, and sizes. All are 12 Volt and have the same size base. Perhaps someone can cross reference the Harley Part Numbers. The 53 and 1815 are from Superglide Speedometer and Tach. The 57 is from an FLH type Dash.
ETA: If anyone knows other applications for these bulbs please help us out, i. High Beam on Super Glide.

hey thanks for your time mike --looks like my bike has all the originals in it --I'm gonna let you know if I come up with any GE or Sylvania over the counter numbers --like I said earlier 40 years ago I wouldn't care but now I got the time
