You guys might be interested this engine.It was done in 1981 by a very reputable individual back then...short miles since then and we took it apart in about 2000.Everything was delightful so I put the lower back together then and it sat until now.Barrels were fab at .02" . The heads however suffered the cop bike "machinist" of the day treatment. Complete rebuild of the cylinder heads was mandatory here.Im a itchin to get the spring compressor out.Awesome forum guys.

I too try to use Torque adapters "by the book". Tho I admit I have, in a Pinch, simply did it by holding my mouth just right... get home and Re-torque..
Have had friends claim they just needed to get home...then ride for Years with the "seat of My Pants" method... If yer close...they can be very forgiving...Not Recommended..
Of Course...I adamantly, recommend Against the Local tractor shop Valve Job also...Some Terrible **** out there... May as well Lap em in to a Full width seat, and go... @side oiler I know a really good Guy in Ontario...races with us...I will get his info if ya want... Hell of a Good Guy...and Sharp..
