Shovelhead left hand trans noise - stops when you pull in the clutch.
Ive just purchased a 77 kickstart only Shovelhead Bobber fitted with 1340 S&S motor. The bike had trouble starting (was sat for 2 years) so Ive changed the battery, plugs and coil pack and set the static timing nowt it starts on the first kick.
But I have a couple of issues.
There is a rattle noise from the left when under load but stops when the clutch is pulled in
Rides fine on low throttle but theres a lull when you squeeze on the power - carb issue or maybe the advance unit ?
You could throw money at it - but they seem to make a come back - its a mans machine not a copy of the jap bike that copied Harley in the first place ie twinkie
some one did a well planed out build lots of never before seen things - like the shaved primary set - the front brake and the mods to it - the alloy rims are choice look - the porker gas tank will keep you young as its only 45 minuet sprint to the next fuel station -
i owned a few DB cars back in the 70s when they were almost free compared to today
