Hey Old Mago,
What is your "Club" running for brakes? Any of the 3 still running the old original front banana single piston calipers?
If you guys like rain we have buckets of the wet stuff here in the rain forest Coastal Oregon come Halloween thru May.
Your Shovel Trouble gathering looks like fun times even with an evo.
Tho I would Not modify an old 4-speed chassis just for an EVO mill...S&S did make a "short" evo just for that job..
I do Run a 93 Evo mill in my '83 FXR...Zero Mods!!! I may Not rebuild that particular Shovelhead!!!

this mod was done in the 90s by Natli Performance in western Sydney, not sure about the details as the conversation changed when i learned he came from a part of Sydney i once lived as a kid which went from dirt roads market gardens and roosters crowing in the morning to suburban houses four laned hiways and line trimers in the mornings . iam pretty sure the EVO poewered one had a front brake up grade but the other was the ole banana brake.
Unless...It well could be one of those S&S custom Motors specifically Designed Shorter for the 4-speed Frame..Buddy Here got one long ago...is in his FLH still..Zero Mods...
BTW I guess I do Not know about Wider.... Never crossed my Mind!
