Default Keihin carburetor

Trying to rebuild an early model Keihin carburetor for a 1976 FLH . I need some parts. Bracket #2 #15. Also choke lever #41 & choke plate #40. If anyone has an early Keihin collecting dust and would be interested in getting rid of it I would be interested. I hope it’s okay to post this here.

I might have an old one...will look.. Note that #2 I believe, is just a piece of bent metal as a support for the cable sheath.. Choke operate without it..tho rod (rigid type) need to be bent just so.. #15 tougher to locate.. I'm semi sure the choke plate is same on all Ka-Sneeze..I have one.. lever?? again, tougher to find an Early one...Looking.
Might I suggest a Replacement Carb while you are seeking Period Parts..They used to give em away..Swap meets May still have em...they do Here.

Thanks Racepres, I checked a couple independent shops and they said the same, going to be a hard item to find, especially the brackets. They also asked why am I trying to find it, there are better options out there. They liked the S&S for shovels, but said would probably be about $700 for carburetor, manifold, air cleaner. This is a fun project, just trying to make it as original as possible. Oley, PA is coming up in April will make a trip and search the vendors.

Hi Russ, thanks that sounds terrific. Might take a ride to Nick’s cycle in Williamstown. His place is like a salvage yard for motorcycles.

I checked eBay, they have reconditioned ones for $150 or more or later model Keihin’s that are not date correct. Even the ones that are dated correctly are missing the brackets. I have a good rebuilt carburetor body, I’m just missing the choke lever, plate and brackets.

It's been a few months but I have seen numerous plastic choke parts NOS. You have to be diligent and persistent in your searches.

The parts you seek are always the ones missing, broken, what have you. I've never understood that...

Check with JT's Cycles in Cobleskill, NY. JT has some good stuff in the basement. Hit & miss.
