Trying to rebuild an early model Keihin carburetor for a 1976 FLH . I need some parts. Bracket #2 #15. Also choke lever #41 & choke plate #40. If anyone has an early Keihin collecting dust and would be interested in getting rid of it I would be interested. I hope its okay to post this here.
I might have an old one...will look.. Note that #2 I believe, is just a piece of bent metal as a support for the cable sheath.. Choke operate without it..tho rod (rigid type) need to be bent just so.. #15 tougher to locate.. I'm semi sure the choke plate is same on all Ka-Sneeze..I have one.. lever?? again, tougher to find an Early one...Looking.
Might I suggest a Replacement Carb while you are seeking Period Parts..They used to give em away..Swap meets May still have em...they do Here.
hey George it's Russ-- I don't have any parts --if you want I can check with my friends shop in Tuckerton or there's a guy in Ocean Gate who has a lot of parts

Thanks Racepres, I checked a couple independent shops and they said the same, going to be a hard item to find, especially the brackets. They also asked why am I trying to find it, there are better options out there. They liked the S&S for shovels, but said would probably be about $700 for carburetor, manifold, air cleaner. This is a fun project, just trying to make it as original as possible. Oley, PA is coming up in April will make a trip and search the vendors.
I checked eBay, they have reconditioned ones for $150 or more or later model Keihins that are not date correct. Even the ones that are dated correctly are missing the brackets. I have a good rebuilt carburetor body, Im just missing the choke lever, plate and brackets.
