1973 FL Police Special Info Wanted

1973 FL Police Special Info Wanted
Recently I saw this Police Special reported sold at an on line auction back in 2021. It is listed as a 1973 unrestored Police Special.
What caught my attention is the high sequence number (72931), meaning it was a York built bike. This is the only York built FL I have seen so far. Any idea how many were made for Police use in 1973? I also noticed the foil certification decal was still there...would love to know the date code on it.
If anyone has any information on other FL models with these high sequence numbers and date codes, please do share!

Very interesting to read, even though it was an earlier police model from the year 1960.

PS If you can take the time to simply search for "harley police/polizei", you'll find numerous references worldwide, for all model years, with a focus on models from after 1945. It's worth it!
