hi all,
i have an 80cube shovel that is at +0.010" and the gudgeon pin has scored the barrels, just wondering how much more it can be bored without going over the top. bike will just be a cruiser so not looking to increase power just want reliability.
I agree with the .040 oversize max. on the 80" cylinders. The walls get pretty thin with the .040 over. Mine did come out nice though and the .040 over Keith Black pistons are doing their job. YMMV
On rare occasion I've seen 'em go 070 over....but not a wise move longevity wise.
You can always get your cylinders resleeved at L.A.SLEEVE. Then,go back to new stock size bore pistons!
