Default SOLO SEAT.....

I'm looking for a tan Solo seat for my 1982 FLTC Shovelhead. Does anyone know a&nbsp\\;place with good deals on seats?
Thanks...

I always start with J&amp\\;P Cycles then look to ebay. Lots of options there.

Default RE: SOLO SEAT.....

Hey jarhead...good have on the forum.&nbsp\\;(FLTC??) &nbsp\\;As far a solos..here is my take.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
1. There is a difference between tan and brown IMO.&nbsp\\; The Gentry-Corbin police seats in J&amp\\;P an other places are brown, not tan which is the&nbsp\\;natural leather color after tanning, and can be darkened with leather oil.&nbsp\\; Brown in most&nbsp\\;cases is dyed brown, just as is black has been dyed.
&nbsp\\;
2.&nbsp\\; Not sure of the look, but the police seats can be spring mounted and not go with the pogo stick set up... move it back and lower by fabricating brackets.&nbsp\\; These babies are 16x16 and look big, but are comfortable.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;Brown will run you $275, tan will be about $375.
&nbsp\\;
3.&nbsp\\; Corbin has two solos.&nbsp\\; Classic $429 and Hollywood $359.&nbsp\\; They can be ordered in tan or anything close you want. Make sure you&nbsp\\;order the right seat for your model, as they have a no return policy.
&nbsp\\;
4.&nbsp\\; Watch the custom, mini, etc. seats. They look cool but any narrower than 12.5 inche and&nbsp\\;15 inches long will not be very comfortable.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
5.&nbsp\\; Leather seating surfaces are more firm than vinyl over the exact same foam, and take longer to break in.&nbsp\\; A lot of people fall all apart when they sit on leather after vinyl and call it a brick.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Let us know what kind of solo look you are wanting: police, buddy, touring, etc. and we can maybe come up with better ideas.
&nbsp\\;
Later
&nbsp\\;
