Popping while accelerating

MYSTERY SOLVED...
After replacing exhaust gaskets, all push rod O-Rings, replacing intake O-rings, checking all connectors to ignition, checking head bolts, base bolts, rocker box bolts, checking every wire TO the breakers for frays/shorts (notice I did not check wires to battery), retiming the bike 3 times, testing coil on another shovel, pulling my carb and giving it a good cleaning, SPENDING MANY HOURS, I found a loose connection to my positive side of the damn battery!!!!
I fell back into my old ways of checking the most time comsuming and expensive possibilities and a damn screwdriver would have solved my problem!
Thank you all for your suggestions, at least now I have all new gaskets and O-rings - lol

Lordz - If you need any suggestions - read everything I have done to check on the problem.
EVERYONE I really appreciate you assistance... Maybe one day we can get a Shovelhead convention going somewhere and all drink a beer and talk about the dumb stuff we have done in our lives...lol
