My friend's kicker was working fine,then he said he kicked it and it stuck down but he got it back up. Then he said he kicked it and it moved but didn't turn the motor. I havn't been into it yet but I think he may have sheared the key on the inside gear. Anyone ever had this happen?

It happened to me on an S&S 96cu in evo with a 4 speed trany The key stock wasn't hardened properly so as I was kicking it would shear the key Most likely the keys were made overseas It was soon after this I installed the electric starter To this day I still kick it over Got a dyna S single fire ign This system works great for kick start bikes
