sealing off primary, and need help

OK. Job is done, but oil pressure (reading from a liquid filled gauge on the top of the case just forward of the oil pump) is 35 at idle and around 50-60 (yes 60) driving driving down the block. This are cold pressures... YIKES

Just refilled the oil system and changed the external filter, but that shouldn't matter ... according to the tank dipstick it is not overfilled (used 3 quarts).

Not to worry. On my '66 Shovel I had a 100# oil pressure gauge that would peg out if I reved it too high when it was cold. That was using 60wt. Valvoline racing oil. After everything warmed up, all was well.

Well, I would rev it up too high until it warms up, or you might blow a line! Best to warm 'em up anyway.
