Idle problem

Just picked up an 84 flhs, s&s hot set up rebuild, s&s super E carb.The problem is sometimes after shutting the throttle the motor idles fast for a about 10 to 20 seconds then slows down to a normal idle.
Throttle is not sticking, bowl and jet are clean,float is very free moving. Sprayed carb cleaner around manifold and didn't notice any leaks.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with my B model, check the enrichener to make sure it is seating. if that is ok. try resetting your mixture

thanks 71....looks like its running too rich. spark plugs all black and sooty.
all I need is to find where I can get tech. info on carb. since I didn't buy it, I don't have paper work on it
