Customizing my 83 FLHT
Hello,
I am hoping you all can help me with some useful input regarding my 83 Shovel FLHT. I am re-doing the look to better suit my style. In addition to a new paint job in place of the two-tone baby **** tan and baby puke cream combo I plan on lowering the bike and putting a new seat on to replace the current one that looks like one of my bed pillows.
Question is, what product(s) can I purchase to lower the front and rear by 1 and a half to 2 full inches? I see all sorts of stuff on Ebay and in mags, but who knows what the actual quality is....I thought someone here may know first hand.
Also, what seat can I get to fit onto this 83 frame? After removing and replacing the original tank (that resembles a frickin' Goldwing) with a current style FLHT fat bob tank I am noticing the frame is very unique....probably one of the ugliest frames Harley has ever produced, not that you see it, but still.
