Hope this doesnt sound 2 stupid. draind my primary n i got oil, looked in the fill hole 4 the gear box n it looks like gear lube, trani. fluid, red line, something im not sure? So, i think my primary is closed off n the lubes, im guessing r correct?
The trans and primary are seperate. If your bike is a shovel and has a dry system, Your engine oil will feed the primary, If you have a converted wet system, The hoses from your oil pump will be gone and the primary will be sealed and filled with usually something that will look like trans fluid. 4 speed trans gets 22 to 24 ounces of fluid, primary depends on what it is. converted systems get 8 to 13 ounces depending on who you talk to and newer systems get a whole quart. You'll have to figure out what you have there.
