lowlife801,
Yeah, I'd have to say I am happy with the tranny. I did have a warranty issue and I had to pay a lot to ship it back to Baker because I had thrown away the original box with the lightweight foam packing that fit the tranny perfectly and had to make a wood frame arrangement to hold it safely. It weighed a lot and the shipping reflected that.
Baker fixed the tranny and shipped it back in a timely manner. Good folks to do business with.
Like I said, with your bike being a rubber mount, I don't know if they make one for you.

cj-slowdown,
How ya doin' man? Do you know if the trannies are the same for rubber mount Shovels as rigid mount?
My engine is a S&S Evo (stuffed into a Shovelhead frame) and it just runs smoother at 80MPH in OD.
That bike of yours is a real looker.
I was thinking along the same lines as you, if I ever need to rebuild my engine, I might ship it back to S&S and let 'em have at it.
Later.

:How ya doin' man? Do you know if the trannies are the same for rubber mount Shovels as rigid mount?”

my guess is no, but that is a guess, it’s best to call Baker, better to call than e-mail, they don’t answer e-mail : - )))

“My engine is a S&S Evo (stuffed into a Shovelhead frame) and it just runs smoother at 80MPH in OD.”

I was so close to getting that (for the exhaust chocies alone : ) ! I hear it clears the top rail by a 1/32 of a inch !!! : - )), I bet it really rolls !!!! what was the rated hp ??

“megawat”

“That bike of yours is a real looker.”

Thanks. It was one reason I stuck with it instead of buying a new one so much added over the decades : - ))) when one gets a new one it all starts over, I call it “staring at the wall” meaning the years after I brought it, I was staring at the wall of chrome and things : - ))) no way do I want to go through that again !!! not enough time left !!!

yeah man who would know more with that engine and has a factory full of parts ! or you can take it with you there ? I read that they offer a training class working or re-building engines and you can work on your own !!! not me man I know a little and that could, no not could, would be too dangerous : - ))) the damn think runs so great I want it to always ran like that, hay there are great wrenches out there, but hat is were it was born.

Now I understand, the evo and the 80 mph : - ))) I bet it runs like a bandit, hay how do you like the look on the faces of a TC rider with stage one, when you bet them : - ))) it’s priceless : - )))

One time I couldn’t help it I don’t like coming down on people unless they are AH’s this guy wasn’t a AH but had a touch, so I said hay maybe you just need to try another download ? : - ))))

You are one of the ones here that give real sound advice, to those who need it.

Ride safe !!!!

cj slowdown,
When I got my bike the Shovelhead engine was already gone and the frame modified to accept an Evo engine.
The frame was bent (I got the bike from a salvage yard) so I reworked the modifications the previous owner had done to what I thought would work better and wound up with about an inch of clearance over the rear rocker box.
S&S rated the engine I bought at 100HP and 100TQ. I'm sure that I am not getting that much out of it but it is more than my old butt can handle so I'm happy.
I guess I'm hijacking this guys thread so I'll shut up now.
Take care man.

holy crap !!!! rated 100 hp !!! damn what a rush !!! we are in the same boat : - ))) as too holding on, in fact I am glad I didn’t have that kind of power in the years back, odds have it I wouldn’t be here now typing this : - ))

No problem nice to hear someone that has an evo in a shovel, I remember when it first came out, I really disliked it, but being ignorant about that engine it turn out it was hd best engine they ever produced for the life one gets out of it and to the mods that can be done, it’s a real winner !!!

I guess I was too stupid to realize it back then, well live and learn : - )))

Ride safe and I mean that !!!! damn 100 hp’s who knows maybe in a few years I may hop mine up : - ))
