Up for grabs from a bankruptcy is a nice '73 shovel. Also a road king which I have no interest in. The shovel is spanky clean, at least in the pics, I'll know more tomorrow. Previews from 3-6 then a quick auction. Have done a bit of research on pricing but was wondering if there's anything peculiar to this year that would have me stay away from it.
No, I can't take it to my Indy for a compression check and such. Pretty much gotta stick a screwdriver to my ear and press it against the engine while running to catch anything amiss. Certainly not married to it but thought I'd show up at the auction anyway, just to see where it goes. Will have cash in hand in case there's not many serious buyers. I've had some pretty good luck at auctions before.
lownslow,
That road king looks to me to be a E-glide standard.....I dont know much of anything about the shovel..does look clean!!!!
Keep us posted if you get it and what it went for!!! Good Luck!!! Tim....
My guess, based on the local economy, is that those who want it won't have enough to buy it and those that do have the dough probably aren't lookin for an old shovel. Kinda what I'm hopin anyway.............
Well it's nowhere near stock I see lots of the normal changes done through the years do a numbers check on the engine and the frame to make sure everything match's , aside from that good luck
